I started CrossFit because I wanted to become healthier and it would help me with the stress of my husband’s third deployment. Two weeks after I started I found out I was pregnant and having a miscarriage. I was told the fetus never formed. I was devastated and these people I knew only two weeks encouraged me to continue doingCrossFit, that it would help which it did. Then come to find out I was not having a miscarriage, that there was a healthy little baby in there. I continued to do CrossFit until I was 8 months pregnant. We moved back to that state where my husband was stationed at. I started back after I had my baby boy at a brand new CrossFit gym. Then I was diagnosed with postpartum depression and I took a month long break. I realized how much CrossFit helped me deal with postpartum depression. It not only alleviated stress from my life but forced me to be social. I ended up going back and made some great friends and now I have another wonderful CrossFit family at CrossFit Unparalleled. CrossFit is not only about working out but it is also about family and proving to yourself that you can honestly make it through anything with a little bit of effort.
